Cornell Community

Served as Project Manager, Group Consulting Engineer and since 2010 as Landowners’ Group Manager, for the creation of the Cornell Community, a 1,500-acre new urbanism community in the City of Markham.  Bob began his involvement on this project working for the Province of Ontario, then the owner of these lands.  When the Province decided to sell the land, he provided technical, financial and strategic advice to the company that ultimately purchased the community through a competitive process.  Since that time he has supported a wide variety of activities that have lead to the creation of much of the community, including the establishment and administration of a Developers’ Group Cost Sharing Agreement.   Attention on this project is now being turned to the creation of Cornell Centre – the community’s higher density mixed-use core.
